Finally up & running....

if i were meaner than i already am i would get some glass fish and paint my name in one.

cool the fish are painted

where did you get fish that arent real but eat as soon as you put them in the tank.(jus kidding). i read your first two entries where you explained you bought fish and how they ate. then someone said fake fish(just being a wise guy forgive me). iam glad your painted glass fish are in the top 10%.

Why should you feel stupid? You didn't know and the store sure as heck didn't bother to tell you. No reason to feel stupid at all. Instead, feel educated.

Please don't take the fish back now. What would be the point? YOU are obviously on your way to being a good fishkeeper. You are here and you ask the questions. You listen and heed advice. If you take those fish back, they will probably be bought by some yahoo who sticks them in an uncycled bowl and kills them.

IMHO those fish need a good home after all they've been through and I think they have one now.

I would not let the shop you bought them from get off lightly, however. Rip a strip or six off their backs for selling you "defective" product. Throw the words "false advertising" "defective product" "misrepresentation" and a few others around and they will listen. Approach it like a person who cares about fish and they will ignore you.

Weren't painted tetras supposed to become illegal to own? I think it was a while ago, around 7 or 8 years ago I heard somewhere that they were going to become illegal to own.
 
Not sure.....

I don't know if that was ever decided, but I don't think they should be illegal to own but rather illegal to create..........it's very cruel to do that to a living creature..........
 
The fish seem to really love the pots, I have decided to make a couple of minor adjusments to make them a little better. They swim in and out of the holes all the time............I just wish we had more fish.........but we can take care of that problem soon enough........
