Fire eels and salt

Hey,
Does anyone know if Fire eels can take the heat and salt treatment for ich?

I think many types spiny eels are from brackish water naturally, and those that aren't most likely like hard water. i'd go for it if I had the eel. hopefully someone with loads of experience with fire eels will chime in.
