Since the last down time of AC, my Firefox browser won't let me just open up the site. It asks me to download a php file, saying that's what AC is.

Is anyone else having this problem, and what can I do?

I'm on IE browser right now, just to come here.

what version of firefox? if it is not the latest verion, you might try and update it. If it is the latest version, you might need to reinstall. Latest version I believe is 1.5.0.2/ There is also a beta verison 1.6.something.

Firefox 1.5.0.2 is a problem, but I'm pretty sure the problem is with server configuration, not the browser itself.

Personally I'm using Opera 8.52, it works like a charm.

I have no issues with the current Firefos (1.5.0.2) at all on AC. Nor did I with the earlier versions.
Same here except I use Firefox instead of Firefos. :)

Peace..

I am also having this problem, and I'm too stubborn to risk using IE...

I would try dumping your browser cookies in case there's some strange cookie issue that might be at work.

Peace...

There was some sort of problem earlier with the web server configuration. IME and IMO someone was futzing with it and it wasn't configured for php anymore -- it was doling them out as as txt files.

The browsers were confused because they were being handed files with the extension of php, but being told by the server that they were txt. So they hadda ask what you wanted to do with them.

It was happening to everyone at one point, regardless of browser.
