Fish do feel pain, they just lack the intellect to dwell on it and think about how much it sucks.

University of Guelph scientists have found that they do feel pain. I'm not sure of the paper for it, I no longer have access to the library but I remember my animal behaviour and welfare professors talking about it.

They must get itchy, given they *flash* against rocks, gravel and decor during a case of ich or other bouts of parasites.

Does pain actually 'hurt' to them? Who knows.

I just report this stuff, it's an never ending debate really.

The fish that I counsel in my practice are much more focused on their psychological hurts rather than physical aches and pains.

I feel your pain. My fish's mom died in a horrible pet store accident. The sales person put the neons with the convicts.
