i have 2 tiger barbs, 2 cherry barbs, an algae eater, and a tiger barb that has a blurry middle stripe( i forget what its called, but it is an actual species and not just some mutated tiger barb) all in a 10 gallon tank. I was thinking about adding the following fish to my tank:

1 tuxedo swordfish (male)
1 platy(red wagtail) (female)
3-4 harlequin raspora
3 giant danios
5 black neon tetras
3 black widow tetras
and another chinese algae eater.

Is this to many fish? If so, which ones should i not get? Would any of those fish have conflicts with each other? If so, what should i replace them with?

Thanks

Yeah right.

And "Fsh Combo" for a header would have taken even less effort...

Posters who begin by posting how many dozen fish they plan to pack into a ten-gallon tank, in the hopes of seeing many horrified replies...

...are rarely disappointed.

On the other hand, if you were a serious fishkeeper and planned to hang out at AC and learn something and have some fun, this would have been a poor start.

arkylady, im located in LR

i added 4 harlequin rasporas, 4 black neon tetras, and a platy on saturday. they are all doing fine. the tiger barbs keep to themselves and the rasporas, tetras, the algae eater, and one of the cherry barbs(the smaller of the two) are all in a big school now.
i decided not to add the danios, as they are way too big for my tank, or the black widow tetras. i'm considering adding the swordtail, but not for a while.

you sure do have a hospitable attitude wetmanNY...

Since your tank was already probably overstocked, I would expect your next post to be... Why are my fish dying? Chinese algae eaters get real big, real fast. Perhaps we should have been a little better in trying to explain but I don't think any of us thought you were serious. Tiger barbs also need more swimming room than their size would tend to indicate. They are also really bad fin nippers just so you know. Most people like to keep them in at least a 20 gallon in schools of at least 5 to 7 so as to spread their agression amongst them.

actually, my fish are doing fine. i lent one of my tiger barbs to my sister for her tank b/c she has a large school of them. heres pics of my tank:

Good luck with that many fish in a 10 gal. I have a 125 w/2 plecos, 2 pacus, 2 balas, 2 clown loaches, and 2 Nicaraguense cichlids. I see a bigger tank in my future!
