"Fish don't fry in the kitchen"

Sorry it's not in English. I guess these fish just eat whatever falls through the oil and as long as they stay away from the hot oil they are ok. What if one gets chased up into the oil! Only in Japan!!! :headshake2:
 
That cant be healthy for the poor guys. At first I thought that they were keeping the daily specials down there.
 
wow.. at first I thought they were just in a tank under the fryer

then I realized that the hot oil was FLOATING on top of them!

how does that water not get boiling hot?

pretty sure they arent too healthy eating all that fried food in those temperatures...

also.. I think some sanitary issues would come into play-- cooking food with live goldfish
 
I wonder how long the oxygen lasts in that tank.
