i have two texas cichlids and i want to know if they are too young to lay eggs. i just purchased them about a month ago. and it looks like eggs in my aquarium. they are small though. maybe an inch and a half at most. any info would be appreciated...
thanks

If your texas are spawning they will be in breeding colors. The back half of the fish will become black and the front more pale. More noticable in the female. They can breed at a small size but yours seem a little to small.

thank you so much. that helps a lot. they are in that color range though, i thought the same thing about them being too small. they are actually in the tank all by themselves. i had them in a tank with my jewels but they started to eat their tailes so i put them in one alone. i have one 55 gal tank and two 25 gallon and two 10 gallon. thank you so much though...i really appreciate all the help.
