What fish would you recomend for a 12 gallon tank? I was thinking of getting 5 or 6 neon tetras. What other fish would you guys recomend that get along with tetras.

Three (minimum) cory cats of your choice flavor, just keep in a group, they like cory company.

Three or four otocinclus catfish if you have algae. Tiny but hungry.

Maybe a Ram or two, but don't overstock. NO angelfish. Good tankmates with adult neons, but a 12 is not big enough for a half grown angel to be happy.

Dwarf cory cats would do well in a 12 gallon... there are 3 different types and all stay small and are pretty active (not just on the bottom). My 10 gallon has 4 corydoras habrosus, 4 rasbora espei, 2 otos and 1 male betta and it's a great tank to watch! Busy at all levels with friendly fish. Good luck with yours :)

TP, those are neat fish, where can they be found? Can my LFS (Denver, CO) order them for me?
