Fish ID?

Can somebody identify this fish and is it compatible with neons? It seems to be schooling with them. Darn that didn't work...how do you post a picture?

The invisible fish is not compatable with any species, lol. Send us the link or post the picture of the fish you want an ID for.

Green fire tetra - I think. Definitely a tetra, and will probably be ok with neons.

I'd really like to know how ya could figure out what it was without a picture.

haha, yea... the invisible fish is compatible with nothing and eats nothing and doesn't even live in water...

The picture was visible earlier. But now it's not available. I had no idea what it was.

Maybe if I start with what it wasn't? :

Definetly not a pleco, cory, rainbowfish, angelfish, saltwater fish, molly, gourami, discus, Rift lake cichlid,....uh... :huh:

That's strange - I see a picture on my computer. It shows a neon and what appears to be a green fire tetra.

Ok, I set up a webpage for the picture...it's at:

The fish is not gold (it's because of the flash I think)...it's more of a brownish-tan and about 1 and 1/2 inches long. I think the brownish coloring maybe due to the dark background I put up. When I first got the fish it was more of a transparent silver but I don't think it's a bloodfin.

Looking at the new picture, I still say green fire tetra.
