My aquarium has a pH between 8.0 and 9.0 consistently. I have lost 30-40 fish. I have 7 neon tetras, 1 pleco, 1 beta, and 3 scissor-tailed rasboras left. What other kinds of fish can survive in a high pH water?

With a ph that high I would suggest Tanganyikan cichlids.

Couple of things:
How long has the tank been running?
What are your ammonia, nitrite and nitrate readings?

Take some tap water, put it in a dish and let it sit overnight. Test it and post the pH here, please.

I have high ph as well, however mine is always between 8.0 and 8.2. If you like African Cichlids, they would do great.

Roan asked an excellent question. The answer to your problems may reside in the answers you provide.

That's really really high for PH... it's like there's something dissolving into the water. Do you use well water?
