Fish Increase Helps Fertilize Plants?

I was reading the thread sticky about ferts and what not, and saw that an increase in fish could help fertilize plants. My fish numbers and species are listed in my sig. But I have swordtail fry in my tank as well. I've been unsure about keeping them, but if they could help I wouldn't mind. I was worried about them producing too much waste, but I'm probably wrong.

1. I need a suggested limit to keep my tank safely stocked at.
2. I also would like to know of any sites that list plant vitamin
defeciencies and their symtoms.
3. what would be the best filtering plants? (since my filter is not so great)

Any advice is appreciated.

Another guide is located at: "http://www.csd.net/~cgadd/aqua/art_plant_nutrient.htm".

Good luck, Bill

Plants make the tank healthier, taking in CO2, releasing Oxygen.Taking in ammonia and nitrate.

But, all that stops if the lights go off. So in the case of a power failure, the overstocked tank goes bad inspite of live plants. In fact, dying plants will contribute to all problems with ammonia and oxygen loss.

Also, in a fry tank, plants have a lot of microfauna that the fry will eat. And give good hiding places for fry. You will get much better numbers of fry in a well planted tank. But once they grow, you should try to not overstock the tank.
