I just bought 3 corys and 4 blackskirt tetras which are in a 10g QT tank. One of the corys is kind of laying on its side. They looked fine in the store, so I don't think its swim bladder. The tank they are in is cycled, plus I added a little bit of prime just to be safe. I've bought fish from this store in the past with no problem, and fish were acclimated carefully, the same way I always do. (Even so, the temp in my tank is a little low, about 72, which is my only guess...)

Any other ideas??

Prime is just dechlor, it won't matter if your tank is cycled, it just removes chlorine and chloromines. Why do you think its not swim bladder? That is like the tell-tale sign of it I think. I would raise the heat up to about 80 or so...

I guess I didn't think it was swim bladder b/c it was fine until I put it in the tank and it seemed fine in the store, does that come on suddenly? I bought the fish on my way home from work, and the tank had cooled down during the afternoon, have the heater going now to start warming it up...

The bottle of prime says it can be used during cycling b/c it detoxifys amonia and nitrite (which isn't the problem). I just meant if there was something in the water somehow, it should have helped a little

What is swim bladder?

thanks

Well, the tetras seem to be fine, and the cory has righted itself (at least for what I can tell, b/c its not swimming around, just sitting still at the bottom). However the corys (all 3) are breathing a bit rapidly, IMO. They've been in the tank for about 3 hours or so, could they still just be that stressed?
Any other ideas?

The corys are still not doing anything, but seem to be better. Maybe I just over-reacted?!?! I hope thats all!! I just usually don't have any problems and I thought, oh no what could I have done  ?!?! I'll be home all day tomorrow, so I'll test the water and check them out some more....
