fish recommendation

Well after my 29 gal. cycled...which took 2 months and 3 days, I've added 4 tiger barbs (all about 1"), a rainbow shark (3") and a pl*co.

I think I've got room for just a couple more, but I want something out of the ordinary. I've ruled out lobsters for my fish's safety. I'm not really into shrimp, clams and snails seem a little boring.

I need a cool fish of some type that won't clash too much with the barbs and RB shark.

What would you put in?

Hmm, I think that maybe you should take out the pleco, but if its a smaller variety under 6 inches then you should be fine. I think that some yo-yo loaches would be o.k. with your tiger barbs, but they are jumpers so make sure you have a tight hood.

I believe he is just a common pl*co, so I might have made a small mistake getting him. He is about 2 inches right now, I will take him back to the store soon and maybe get another.

Those yoyo loaches look pretty cool, but I have yet to see any around here.

Come on people I need more suggestions.

I'm curious, why do you put the * in Pleco? I know devout Jews put a * in God, is Pleco also a religious term of some sort?

pl*co is a susperstitious spelling of the species name because superstition has it that if you spell it correctly, your pl*co will die.

so far mine is ok, knock on wood...hehehe

The common pleco will grow quite fast to about a foot before its growth rate slows down. Crap about the ple*co spelling, it's untrue!
