One of my dwarf neon rainbows somehow got himself stuck in one of the holes in a rock I provided for my khuli loaches to hide in. I've had this setup for over two years and this is the first time anything like this has happened. Anyway, I freed the poor SOB, but I'm not sure how long he'd been stuck. He's swimming very erratically - struggling really. One side seems almost paralyzed. He also has a raw wound on his dorsal side, I imagine from struggling against the rock.
Question - should I put him out of his misery now, or is there any chance this is temporary paralysis that he can recover from?
Anyone ever experience anything like this?
