Where the ducks walk on the fish, PA
Well, my hubby has done it again. He is planning on going bear hunting for the first time this year. :screwy:He has been on the computer looking for areas in north central pa to spend bear season. At any rate, while looking on a certain site, he found a 125 gal set up.:headbang2: I called to find out about it. It is a 125 with a solid oak or maple (they weren't sure) stand and hood, 2 hob filters (not sure what brand, etc), heater, substrate, a couple of rocks for decor, a tiger oscar, an albino oscar, 1 "medium" pleco, and 1 "larger" pleco. He is on his way today to check out the "hunting" site, staying the night and then picking the tank set up up tomorrow. It all should be here by tomorrow afternoon sometime.

Once it is here, I can better assess the fish to determine health, type, etc. The good thing is, they only have the 4 fish in the tank, so odds are good that they are in decent shape. I will be giving away the fish if they are healthy enough to anyone willing to come and get them.

I am so excited as my Polleni will have his new home!! :grinyes:He is in a 35 gal right now by himself, and is not real happy about it. :irked:I had to remove him from my other 125 as he was beating everyone else up.

Pics to come once it is here!

Congrats, Snoops! Hope you and your polleni enjoy!

It's an odd way to find an aquarium, but whatever works right?.
When I first saw this post, I thought did you find an unwanted abandoned tank sitting out in the woods while looking for bears?.

Sounds like you've fell onto a good deal there Snoops...

Yep, $100 plus 2 Trolling fishing rods is the cost!

Congrats, Snoops! Hope you and your polleni enjoy!

I am sure he will love having the extra room again. Fortunately he is only 7" at this point and has only spent 1 month in the smaller tank.

Right!!

Great find! I'm glad you now have a new home for that sweet looking polleni.

Well the hubby just called and he and his cousin are on their way back with the tank set up and the fish. I asked about the fish and he said: "The plecos are between 9" and 11" (but didn't know what type), the Oscars are ****ing HUGE! I asked what that meant and he said the plecs look small compared to them. He said they appear to be healthy and well taken care of. They had to break the tank the rest of the way down with the guy when they got there and he said the gravel was clean, the filters had used cartridges but were clean as well.

So I guess the next question is: Is there anyone within driving distance of Linesville, PA that wants some Oscars? and maybe Plecos?
