Fish Tank Theme

yeah, so today, me and test4echo went to our LFS and were checking out all the fish. We had the idea of possibly making a "Punk Theme Tank" which i dont really know how im gonna pull off. probably red or black and white or black and red gravel. And then some black and white and red fish. and a skull. yeah. that would be cool.

any ideas on fish? if i cant find any good fish, im probably gonna go with my other fish list

Rummy nosed tetras are white-ish with the red nose and black and white tails. Pretty cool little fish when you have a good healthy school. They like to be kept in groups of 6 or more though.

Could be an interesting tank. Definately need to post pictures when you finish it!

yeah, i should take pictures, but i probably wont be able to set it up for a few months cause my mom is remodeling my house, and im switching rooms and crap. plus we have to take everything out of the rooms, all the furniture, and tear out the carpets, so i have to wait. but when i do it im gonna take pictures just for you!

It gives you plenty of time to plot and plan it!! Remodeling can be a horrible mess...i don't envy you.

I can't wait for the pics to see what you come up with. I really think themed tanks are so much fun!

How about a death-metal themed tank?
Black everything(decor, gravel, back ground), with the skull and red lights.
Finding some mean, demented looking fish would be the real challenge.

Red eyed tetras, albino fish,
silver dollars would be cool I think.

Mollies are white, black or speckled.
Angel fish are white, black or marbled.

pictus cats are silvery/black.

a Zebra pleco would look neat.

bleeding hearts, or black skirt tetras.
I dont think it would be hard at all to find black/white/red fish.

Deciding which ones would be the hard part!

German blue rams have a mohawk like dorsal fin. Keep only 1 or 2(male/female) of them though. Not very sociable with their own kind. If you keep a pair be warned they breed like rabbits. I would say they are very punk looking.

Gotta go with mollies, it looks like they have mohawks. You can get them in black and red as well. I knew someone who wanted to light their tank with a blacklight, just passing that idea on to you.
