Well ive always loved boating and dreamed have having my home on the water. But i also love my fish. If i was to move onto a boat would a be able to bring the tank with me. What alterations would be needed? Does anyone know of fish tanks in boats. The sort of boat i want is a Narrowboat if anyone knows what one of them is, 6ft 6 wide and in the region of 60ft in lenght although they can be as short as 23ft and upto 72ft.

Yeah it would be a sloshy but if you had hardy fish and nothin that could more easily and break the glass like rocks it would probally be alright.

Also it would be pretty cool having a tank on a boat. Moore up in Fiji and stock your marine tank for free :D

I'm sure you could rig up some kind of pump system to make water changes really easy if it was a saltwater tank:D

Acrylic might be better than glass... I'm not sure, it's just a guess, but seems like acrylic is tougher.

You'd probably need aeration going into the tank, with a watertight cover, and a way to vent off the pressure without letting water out.

it'd be a really "custom" job but very cool when it's done. just don't flip (capsise?) your boat!

Quite unique "living quarters", a tank should fit in there somwhere....
