Today at work I was watching our Blood Parrot Cichlid when suddenly it appeared as though he was "vomiting." What looked like partially digested food and some yellowish colored fluid came out of his mouth. I was never under the impression that fish could "vomit" or regurgitate food. But it looked exactly what I imagine fish puke would look like. He had just eaten half an hour prior. I do notice when I feed the Parrot Cichlids that sometimes they'll apppear to have swallowed a little pellet and then it will come back out in which they'll promptly dash after it again. This is I assume due to their oddly shaped mouths. What I saw though definetly looked like mashed up partially digested pellets.

So I guess my question is do fish vomit?????

Never seen it.

Iv seen partially eaten pellets being spit out, but not with yellowish fluid behind it,, ....

My Gold dust molly does that, but no yellow stuff behind it
