Hey all I kow there are some fishermen here on AC, so say what you fish and biggest catch etc. Pics would be good too :)

I fish mainly pike but a few perch if not enough pike biting, and i do it in the canal near where I live.

Didnt weigh it, but the biggest pike I've caught was 21"

Im not very experienced, only been doing it a few months but really enjoy it :)

So please post!!

I couldnt say how big of a fish Ive caught i think the biggest was around 14-16'' blue channel cat. I usually dont fish a lot maybe 2 or 3 times a year. I fish around Falls Lake,NC. Its man made and obviously not naturally stocked, with bass, crappie, sunfish, catfish and the rare pike (I think I only know of one person catching one in this lake and that was at least 10 years ago). But the fever has bitten a little harder this year and I think Im gonna check some other places out.

This was from just a few days ago on Pymatuning Lake, 500 yards from my house. My husband and a couple of friends went out. My biggest was a 36" Walleye, weighed about 8 lbs.

Awesome! Nice fish there. 36" WOW thats big

Very cool. How did you catch the catfish i.e. what bait and hook etc.?

I usually use baitholder hooks and use whatever I want for catfish. Ive used chicken liver, hot dogs, bologna and of course the local shad or shiner but the latter tend to attract bass more than catfish.

I fish both fresh and salt. Largest was a 33", 17lb bluefish for salt and heaviest fresh was a 20'lb grass carp. I am strictly catch and release unless I have caught something I will eat. Generally speaking, the larger the fish the less tasty the meat. So if they are a large specimen (older) I toss them back. I use light tackle as it all about the fight for me. I also fly fish.

I don't fish much nowadays but I really need to start again . I used to fish non stop when I was a kid. Lived on canals back then.
My largest fish was oh , like a 12 foot hammerhead shark. Didn't get it into the boat so I don't know how much it weighed. I caught several large saltwater fish back in the day.
I was at my brothers house a couple weeks ago and took a few casts in his tiny canal in Orlando ,Florida and hooked this Bass :)
