Fishkeeping misspelling.

Found this one a little while ago.

I am giving this away! $300.00 for a 120 gallon tank totally loaded with African ciclads, huge pleco, clown loaches and more! Over 30 fish! Tank includes a ton of lava rock, pebbles, filter, nets, breeding tank, bubblers and food. Moving is forcing me to sell. Open to all reasonable offers or trades. Will deliver for a small fee. . PENDING PICKUP

This morning I saw African chilids for sale.

I've seen pletcos, chiclids, goramyus (figure that one out?), the list goes on and on.

I've seen gourami spelled as guromy at a pet store too. Yeah, I left empty handed :yuck:

LOL. apparently this allergy eater was over a foot and a half in this kids 10 gallon tank..... >.<

That's funny, since 10 gallons are only 16" long :screwy:

Why limit it to craigslist? I've seen some ridiculous doozies on here as well.

But it's not pc to correct someone to their face! Or screen as the case may be! You might do irreparable harm to their fragile self esteem. And spelling doesn't really count anyway. At least that's what those who can't spell say!

Lol... Better to continue sounding like an idiot than risk a bruised psyche.

Sad but true.

Lol. I would have gone with hilarious and totally not my problem personally.

Grammar is excusable since we aren't writing formally imo.

What's more excusable...spelling or grammar? ;)

Neither, but it's best not to correct people. I used to correct people online until I found out how many people misunderstood it (and consequently my intentions). It just gets blown out of proportion after that and isn't worth it.
