Well, I'm on my 14th day of fishless cycling my new 55 gallon.
I seeded with some filter media from my other tank on the 1st day.
PH: 7.8
Ammonia: 0
Nitrites: > 5.0
Nitrates: 160
Today the nitrates are really high, and I noticed some green and brown algae on the sand and glass, etc... The Nitrites have been really high since the 5th day.
Ammonia is not a problem, it goes away fairly quick. Now I'm waiting on nitrites to decrease. I'm assuming it's going to happen within the next couple of days.
I hope this is coming to and end so I can get some fish soon.
