is it mean to keep fish alone (other than schooling fish) or with the same sex - i mean do they get upset if they can't breed?
or do they not care? i doubt they have sex for pleasure but if they can't satisfy their needs will it effect their health?

JMO, but I think humans are the only animals that have sex for pleasure. Yeah, dogs and cats may seem like they try to do it for pleasure but I think it's just instinct taking over. I don't think fish are effected that way. I have 2 male platties in my 5 gallon and they seem to be happy. If anything, I would think it would effect males more than females.

I believe dolphins also have sex for pleasure, or so i heard on some random discovery channel show. I don't really think that fish do that

Wouldn't consider that a fish. It's a mammal, and JMO, much smarter than us.
