Fixing Ornaments

I have a chunk of an ornament that broke off, Is using a hot glue gun alright to fix it? Because i figured it hardens to be just plastic are there any chemcals in there? Otherwise its no biggy i could get another one thanks.

Hot glue is fine or a good epoxy or even a pure silicone.

Hot glue is safe to use, but it wont hold very long. It usually only holds for a couple of days, then it starts separating from whatever you attach it to.

I don't know I hot glued a plant stem back into one of my caves over six months ago and it still is holding.............Hot glue is just a melted polymer and once it cools it is strong.
