LOL

That's good Joe. I've got another one but I'm not sure of what is and isn't acceptable on the board so I won't post it.

I see you're in Orlando. I've over in Brevard Co. Our county took a mild hit with Charly and a pretty bad one with Frances. I was thrilled to see Ivan miss central Florida. I'm sorry for those who bore the brunt of it but two was enough for me!

We had a lot of flooding in the area but got lucky and only lost a small bit of molding around the outside of our Florida room (I'm in a mobile home). Hope you faired as well. :)

We lost shingles on one side of our roof from Charley, and then Frances took the shingles off the other side of our roof. Eight or so leaks one side, ten on the other. We have tarps up to stop the leaks. We contracted a roofing company, but we can't get through to them. Guess they are real busy.

Good to hear you made it through the storms ok...

We were sure our roof was coming off during Charley -- kinda scary...

Joe,
Glad to hear that you and your family made it through the storm with no real major damage. You can look at the bright side. It could have been Ivan that came through.

Dave

Ivan destroyed our vacation home. *Sniff* :crying:
-By 'vacation home' I mean the house we rented in FL last year.

I SHALL HAVE REVENGE!!

Thanks!
You are right - can't imagine what Ivan would have done......

my friend in palm bay lost shingles from the beach side of his apt complex even tho the ocean was like a mile away. he said the place was condemned due to water damage, the mold sprouted up really quick it sounded like. he weathered the storm with a friend in melbourne who had very little or no damage. the place the 2 of them work is on the barrier island and had some serious roof problems too.

another friend in viero just lost power as far as i know. :)

he said alot of the poles were kinda leaning tho. :P

I live in the Palm Bay/Melbourne area and PB was hit much worse then Melbourne was. Several apartment complexes and many mobile home parks were destroyed. Vero Beach got hit pretty hard too (if that's where you're talking about... there is also a Viera just to make things confusing. LOL)

Mold was/is a horrible problem following Frances due to the fact that not only was power out for an extended time (some homes still have no power!) but also many of us evacuated. Our Florida room leaked at the floor level and since it was closed up for the week we were gone, most of the stuff on the porch was covered with mold. :(
