Has anyone here have trouble with there flowerhorns eating?
Somehow mine doesnt seem to want to eat.
Tried my best to hand feed them since the previous owner hand fed them but there skittish. There 3" in size each.

The Tank is a 65 G breeder size.
Amm: 0
Nitrate:0
Nitrite:0
PH:8.0
Temp:78degrees

Using RO water.
I had it running for a month with arrowanas and had no problem before they were purchased and put in the tank.
there are 2 of them.
I think since i dont have a timer on the lights that they get scared once it turns on. Its also 24" deep tank.

I wouldnt try hand feeding them until there well acclimated into there new enviroment. What are you trying to feed them?

How did you cycle? What test are you using? Zero nitrates is either a sign of an uncycled tank, a lot of plants, or a inaccurate test kit.

that was the first thing to catch my eye as well. if the tank is fully cycled then there will be some nitrates but hopefully very low amounts.
