we bought a flower about 1in and he was $9
a 2in about $10
and a 2.5 for$10
here are my questions!?

Are these good prices?
are flowers able to breed with each other?
How big do they get and how fast?
how do you sex?(i noticed the smaller one had pointed fins and the bigger one was ruller but had rounded fins
the smaller one is turning dark green whil thebig one stays pale)
where are they on the agression list with other cichlids, like a jag?
any help is good so thanks!

o yea will they hit glass and bite fingers?

<<Probably not. If you can find them for that cheap, they are not high-quality Flowerhorns of the most desirable types.>>

are flowers able to breed with each other?

<<Yes, but only if they are compatible as a pair.>>

How big do they get and how fast?

<<Really darn big. Look at the growth rates and final sizes of Trimacs and Midas...those are two of the FH ingredients, I believe.>>

<<Don't know if this is possible without a description of your FH...there are so many different varieties, it would be hard to definitively answer.>>

where are they on the agression list with other cichlids, like a jag?

<<They're mean mofos. Again, look at Trimacs.>>

any help is good so thanks!

o yea will they hit glass and bite fingers? <<Yes, definitely. Be careful.>>

FH are hybrid and there is substantial variation of the offspring. Only a small percentage, perhaps 1 in hundred, can have the potential to turn out to be a show piece with outstanding color. It is these oustanding varieties that can command high price. The majority are dull and ordinary and do not differ much from Trimac and so are the price. There is still a long waybefore the superior quality FH can be stabilized genetically nor never.
