Quick questoin. The bulb on my 55 gallon reads "Orbit 10T 40" I've looked everywhere online for an explaination. I understand now that the 10T refers to the diameter of the bulb in eighths of an inch. Does the 40 actually refer to the wattage? Appreciate any insight here.

nevermind

:dive:

does that mean you figured it out or you gave up? yes, i think the "40" means it's 40 watts. At least that's the most common wattage for 48 inch flour bulbs.

Yes, thank you. I figured it out after visiting my LFS. Yet another factor contribuiting to the death of my plants.

yup, plants do require a bit of care. i'm going to upgrade to a larger and more powerful light fixture that will accomodate more than one bulb (when i get my financial aid $ in a few weeks) for the sake of my plants. i can't wait!
