Fluval 403

Went to do a water change last night and noticed my fluval 403 which is barely 6 months old was not pumping water. It sounded like it was working fine, and I pulled it apart and cleaned the propeller thing, but it still won't pump water. I'm not sure if it's supposed to or not, but the propeller does not turn easily.

Tell me that it should have lasted longer than 6 months? Anyone had this happen?

Hmm. Could be the motor is bad, or the impeller just needs cleaning or replacing. Try taking the the impeller off the shaft, and clean the hole and the shaft really well. Don't lose the little rubber caps that go on the ends of the shaft. Hope this helps.

Go buy another one and use the reciept to take this one back..........
