I am putting together a pseudo Amazonia biotope. It will not be black water but will be along those lines along with some planting, wood etc,,,,

The idea is to have a mix of the two - I would have some tannins from wood but as noted will add some planting that is native to the region

The question really goes to the stocking count... I would like an aposto -and am thinking of 2 or 3 corys and maybe some pencil fish -I would stay away from neons - I think tank is to small, but maybe a few hatchets to apply to all the levels

Do you think this stocking is to crowded and if so what would you suggest for this type of concept ?

This is a 15 gallon tank? What is the footprint?

2-3 corys isn't nearly enough. All of that stocking depends on the footprint and volume of water.

I do guppies and endlers in one but I would recommend something like neon tetras or cardinals because the intakes are large enough to suck up fry and its kind of a nightmare to net them out of the back.Maybe some Kuhli loaches and shrimp as well.
