Fluval FX 5 Spray Bar

I've been contemplating making a spray bar for my fluval fx5 similar to this

I'm curious if I could adapt that to the hose on my fluval.

Also I have never worked with PVC lol. I know its not rocket science but I dont really know where to begin. Do I have to use some sort of glue or cement to put the pvc parts together? Is it aquarium safe? etc

Anyone with experience with this stuff?

I've made 2 spray bars out of pvc. One for my XP3 and one for my C-360. I glued all the fitting on the outside of the tanks, the actual bar is just a slip fit (no glue). I used barbed fitting to attach to the output hoses on the filters. The PVC is safe in the tank, just make sure the glue is cured if it's going in the tank.

Same here, all fittings were glued except for the bar, this was to help with moving the direction if I chose to.
