Hi,
I'm trying to figure out what filter to get for my 45 gallon tank. I was going to use a Penguin 350, but now I'm leaning towards the canister filters since it seens like a better choice, although more $$$. Plus space is tight, so I'm thinking with a canister i can push my tank closer to the wall.
So I hear many say the Eheim is the way to go if money is no object. But which model series are we talking about? The classic is at the low end in the $100 up range...and then there other models cost some serious bucks.

I believe I can get a Fluval 305 or and Eheim 2215 in the low 100s. Which one is a better choice do you think? Or to save a few bucks, I was thinking of getting a Fluval 304 for like $84! Only bad thing on the 304 I heard was maybe the hose clamp thing to the tank. Not sure if there is a DIY fix for that...
Anyone have some input on the filters?
Thanks!!
