flying fox aggression?

hi,

was wondering if having 2 juvenile flying foxes in the same medium planted 80G aquarium was ok? if not, what can i do to reduce the clashes. the dominant fox is now displaying territorial behavior after settling into the new tank...

soon i will be adding corydoras and cherrybarbs to the aquarium as well... any clashes?

appreciate anyone's opinions on this!
 
You do mean Epalzeorhyncos kallipterus rather than Crossocheilus siamensis for a start. A well-planted 80G with plenty of hideouts (they don't have to be caves, but they do have to be out of view) should be good for three Flying Foxes.

My experience with the less dependable community player, E. frenatus was that three, well-matched in size and strength, came to a tolerant stand-off. But then when one died, the two remaining ones started to act like they were enemies...

Could be relevant to your close relatives of these.
 
I think as long as you have plenty hiding places then 2 in a 80g tank will be fine. They will be aggresive to one another, but probably nothing too serious.

I have a ff in my tank who has spectacular stand offs with my male krib. I think with both fish its a case of mistaken identity.
Anyway, my point is neither has ever been injured in their squabbles.

yes mine ar e. kallipterus.. does this mean i should have 3 instead of 2 so that the dominant one does not concentrate its aggression on only one conspecific?
