hey guys i just found a 7 gallon high aquarium in my basement that i never new i had. Im thinking about it being a betta tank but i have some questions, oh and i already have a 5 gallon betta tank with dwarf frogs and dont want to have both end up having the same fish. No forgs or snails!

1 - I really like albino cory cats, could i keep them in a 7 gallon and if so how many and will they get along with a betta male?

2 - I also like lyre tail mollies(black) could i keep one i there with a male betta?

red flame is a species of gourami, colisa lalia, blood red is just another lay name for the same fish.
Dwarf corys. I'd say 3 or 4 would work. They max at about an inch each.
Put in some plants and it will be colorful and fun too :)

A flame gourami or a dwarf gourami with a few pgmy cory cats would be a great idea for a 7 gallon. Flame and dwarf are the same species, but just different colour variants.

Here's a flame gourami:

Honey gouramis are a good choice too but they are rarer and so they are difficult to find in pet stores. They are a bit smaller than the flames at a bit more than an inch. The flames could grow more than two inches.

I'd go honey gourami if I could. Wait a minute, are we really talking about putting a gourami in a 7g? Perhaps you should stick with a betta, maybe a new fin type for variety.
