Cdawson- where have you heard that? I have kept several Anableps over the years and have put them will ALL types of brackish fish with absolutly no problems. They have lived with Mono Sebae's, Mono argents, Archers, Mudskippers, Scats, Puffers, BB Gobies, and Knight Gobies, Mollies among others. I have found the males to be a little more aggressive, but not really aggressive. Anyway, a 90g is recommended as a min tank size for them and have found Anablep's to make great tankmates with Skippies. Anyway, hope this helps and good luck.
I've had a few people say that, referring to mostly the males like you said. I can see them being a very good tankmate for mudskippers though.
