ouchy, people just dont relizes they can get that big or bigger.

at least he is doing the right and not letting him go in a lake or river or even worse letting someone eat him. good for him. hopefully paco finds a new home.

What would be wrong with eating it? People raise all sorts of things with the intent to eat them. I'm not saying that this is something I would do. I'm not wanting to start some nasty, super-touchy debate, either. I would suspect that after feeding this critter fishfood (not whatever they normally eat), it might taste icky. Don't people from where these fish grow in nature eat them anyway?
One of my buddies always was trying to get me to let him prepare one of my mexican turbo snails from my old reef tanks (escargot?) The same guy suggests that we find a recipe or two that would make use of all the duckweed in my 40g tank... any suggestions?
Just kind of in a mood that makes me throw these ideas your way...

i tried donating my friends 25" pacu to the aquarium and was turned down. nobody wants them at that size. i saw yesterday at my local petland a 3 foot red tailed catfish sitting in a 90 gallon tank that was brought in by a customer who grew it out in a 125 gallon tank. too bad it is still just a baby. selling these monsters should require a permit and be illegal.
