I like Gmail too. As far a spam goes I got the most when I had yahoo, I also did not like the hotmail upgrades!

i love Hotmail.. not quite sure what these 'rules' are that you speak of.. and information is a given. you're not going to be able to find much that WON'T ask for some kind of info before just giving you free space on their server.

Gmail is nice as well, i have an account there too.

I use gmail as my primary, hotmail mainly as I've had it since before college, and email hell for things that I sign up knowing i'll get a bunch of spam, or to mess with phishers and con artist...warning...adult themed addresses available ...http://www.tshirthell.com/emailhell.htm

I looooooove gmail. I switched to gmail from hotmail a few years ago because my hotmail account was getting way too much spam. I get a lot with Gmail as well but they have an excellent filter so I actually see maybe 1 a month in my regular inbox.
