Freez dried tubifex worms?

Suppliment as a treat or something. Maybe 1 or2 times a week.

I use every food as if it were "supplementary", meaning I feed a variety of foods on a fairly equal basis. Freeze dried tubifex is one of the foods that I feed. A lot of people use one certain food (usually flake) as a staple, and considering that most modern flake is manufactured for such purposes it is probably okay to do. I don't know how the average freeze-dried tubifex would compare to the average flake food nutritionally, but comparing the labels would give an idea.

IMO a varied diet is a good thing, as long as you provide the right kinds of foods for the specific fish you are feeding.

I usually put a pinch of flake and a pinch of worms once a day for my goldfish. For my guppies their food already comes mixed with worms for livebearers but sometimes I give them a little extra worms.

I feed all mine a varied from flake to bloodworm tubeflex and some sinking pellets from big al's that I got for Xmas. I think it's varied and the fish are in wonderful color too

Yeah I am feeding several things but the tubifex is inexpensive so I wondered if I could use it as a main staple.

But based on your replies I will keep with the variation.

Thanks
