I have been experimenting with different vegetable for the pleco and Brig snails in my 90G.

They both love collared greens. I take the leaf and zap it in the micro wave for 30 seconds and then fold into quarter and put it in a seaweed clip.

24 hours later the snails and the pleco devour it.

Question is how to store it. It is cheap but I hate to waste it, so I was think about freezing.

My thought was too blanch each leaf then fold into quarters and put into a container separated by wax paper and then freeze.

That way when I need a new piece, I could grab from the freezer, and put it into the clip. Have it thaw in the tank.

Thoughts?

It sounds like you have some well taken care of fish, I wish all people would take such good care of their fish 8) I don't blanch the veggies or fruit that I put in my tank, I just freeze them. This allows for easy storage and breaks down the squash (or whatever) so that it's soft and my fish have an easier time eating it. Just another tip I read on this great board. Michelle
