can anyone tell me what type of clean up crew i can use for my very small aquarium i have a filter and airiation..i have 1 platy in it and my tank is 2 gallon... can i put any crabs or snails and if yes what type..thanks

Crabs will eat the fish. I would try either some smaller snails like common ram's horn or else pond snails. The omnly other option would be a couple of ammano shrimp (not ghost). Those can be pricey but are decent algae eaters.

Ina tank that small though I would opt just for more frequent water changes and an algae scrub pad.

Actually I don't have any new pics of my tank and now that I look my tank specs are a little behind. I have a 29 gallon now. I will try and get some good pics soon.

If you can afford to I would would consider getting a bigger tank. A 5 gallon tank wouldn't cost much money and the filter could transfer over. Then you could add another platy or 2 to the mix and a bunch of shrimp.

thanks tko for the reply... i cleaned up my tank a little bit ago..i done a water change but did a thoughough cleaning i left alot of the old established water and put the fish in that then i cleaned all the gunk and took the tank apart then i put the old water back in with only a little new...i found a baby in the filter alive!! he is well and swimming around and eating :)
born 2 lovefish could you tell me what you have for the algae i know you you said the spelling was not correct..is it by any chance a plecostomous? thanks again..:)

He meant otocinclus, they're small, about 1.5", and do a pretty good job eating algae. They stay small, aren't poop machines, and don't terrorize your other fish. Most stores sell them as oto cats.
