Hello I am 14 and a newbie here and will I am in the prossece of getting a ten gallon aquarium setup I have a small water garden in my back yard with 2 common and 3 comet goldfish. Well while I am setting up the water garden I need to get some submerged plants in the spring well I am planning to get some fresh water clams in a cascade going into the pond. Well can you tell me how to take care of freshwater clams and how to breed them. Thank you for your time and I look forward to posting at this site again.

Really? I was at my LFS today and noticed that they had a few clams in a large planted display tank. There were some pretty expensive fish in there - if the clams have ...er... little clamlets (what on earth are baby clams called anyway?) that prey on their discus, that won't be a pretty situation!
Minktrapper24, you could probably do some research online and find quite a bit of information on housing FW clams.
Off topic, I'd love to see a pic of your water garden - we live in a high-rise, I wish I could have a water garden/pond but we don't even have a balcony, let alone a back yard!
