i was just wondering if there was any products out that work as a freshwater growth stimulant, i have school of 8 h. rasboras and they are very small and the filter output makes it hard for them to swim so i was thinking that if they were a lil bigger they'd be better off, the quicker the better ya know

How big is the tank and what kind of filter are you using?

Possible the filter is too big for the tank. It's best to treat the cause, which is not small fish, but the filter and possibly the tank size, than to find a more complicated solution that may endanger your livestock.

oversized filter

oh yes its true the filter is much to large for the aquarium... i took the old power filter that we got from walmart with the 55 gallon tank i have in my living room and stuck it on a 20H... i think the filter is a 30-60 gallon but the 20 gallon tank is over stocked for the time being cuz i got to many fish and not enough places to keep them and its a pain to bring them to an LFS since the closest one that will take my fish is over an hour away.. so i keep them around and use the oversized filter and do alot of water changes (at least two 25% changes a week) to make up for the over stocking... all the fish are very small but will grow to decent size so i'm sure i'll be gettin a bigger tank in the next few months but right now i'll leave them where they are.. i guess my question was more of a general question rather then one that i would use as a solution... i know they have this stuff called "cichlid-gro" that i use on my cichlid i was wondering if they had that for other fish... thanks for the response tho

do more water changes. i had some small rasboras and i did a water change every 2 days and within a week they were already bigger.

food

im feeding them tetracolor tropical flake food... this is the only tank i use flake food on... i dont know.. whats the best food for a tank with:

8 3/4" harlequin rasboras
3 1-1.5" gold veil angels
2 glass cats (plan to find a new home for them)
3 Julii cory cats

oh and theres a black ghost knifefish in there too but hes maybe 3" long and i hand feed him freeze dried brine shrimp right now and he'll be moved out of the tank before he gets too much larger

I feed my fish a variety of foods to give them a balance diet and so they get everything they need. I feed the color enhancing flakes, color enhancing crisps, blood worms, tubifex worms, algae wafers, and maybe one other thing. If you also give them vitamins it might help. I would think if you feed often and keep them in a clean enviroment, they would grow better. I think stress maybe a factor on growth.
