I was mislead by my LFS when I first setup my SW tank. They told me I could put fish in it the next day. I thought that was wrong but being ignorant I thought they knew more about it than me. I killed 2 sets of fish before I got help from "experts". I had 3 chromis and 2 clownfish and all were doing good. I added a Coral Beauty and everyone was fine until I had a rock with a coral dye and it caused my tank to cycle. I ended up losing the Coral Beauty but everyone else survived. I decided at that time due to finances to get out of it for a while because all of my fish were being "fish sat". I ended up selling all of my fish,crabs and snail and cleaned out my tank for the time being. I really love salt but thought about doing FW until I get better financially. My big mistake was having a dying coral (I didn't know it was dying) in the tank and not removing it.
