Hey guys
long time no speak. im setting up a fronty tank but dont want a single species tank. can anyone recommend some fish to go in with these fish. please try and give some specific names, not just "tangs" lol.

Well, I've always kept my Frontosas in a species tank with a couple of synodontis for company. With lots of rocks, that was better for breeding as well as for display.

However, if you want to put something else in there with them, the species I would consider trying would be Julidochromis marlieri , Neolamprologus brichardi , Neolamprologus leleupi , and Neolamprologus moorii (note: not tropheus). All of these grow large enough to avoid being food for the Frontosas (I think). If your Frontosas eventually get to be more than a foot long, you might want to re-think that and give them a tank of their own, however.

As an aside, I've never found a colony of Frontosas that was really happy in anything smaller than a 240g tank. What size tank are you thinking of putting them in?
