I read in the marine newb forum someone saying that frozen food at the lfs is a waste of money and instead he uses frozen seafood like squid, scallops, fish, shrimp from the grocery store. Could you use seafood to feed FW fish, or would that be bad news? I guess FW fish aren't going to run into that stuff in the wild, so maybe not a good idea, but I was just wondering... Are there any good grocery-store foods that people use as alternatives to live/frozen lfs food for feeding their FW fish?

A waste of money apparently
If you can buy in bulk and cut them to size then that would probably be cheaper
If you dont want to mess around with all that then just buy the frozen foods at the lfs.
I bought a pack of frozen bloodworms, its got about 30-40 cubes in it, and i usually cut the cubes in half or even quaters, it will last me for months, and only cost a few bucks, hardly a waste of money IMO

Remmy where do you get the frozen bloodworms in bulk?

It doesn't sound like its been bought bulk. I think Remmys just saying that a pack of frozen bloodworms lasts a long time therefore not a waste of money

Hey biotoper, looking at your sig, your fish don't need market shrimp or fish.
Just stick with various flakes and bloodworms. The market shrimp and fish are for predatory fish that need a high protein diet.
