well i found 15 baby mollies in my tank yesterday morning.i have been raising african cichlids for almost a year now and have never lost a single fry.with mollies, however,i have only managed to raise one to maturity.i bought a 5 g tank with heater and internal filter yesterday to raise the molly fry's until they are a little bigger but i have noticed that 2 baby's ended up INSIDE the filter.they were fine even looked comfy but how do i keep this from happening.the flow of the filter is on the lowest it will get and since these fry's are just as tiny as the cichlids were and this has never happened to me be4,what can i do to keep the fry's out of there?

Seems like I read something around here about wrapping a piece of filter sponge around the intake tube of the filter. I could be wrong...

make holes small

I saw the fry tank at the fish store
and the guy had like a thin mesh wraped
around the intake tube with like a rubber
band holding it on or something maybee it
was a filter sponge of sometype..

Aquaclear sponges work really well - cut an 'x' through the centre of the sponge, lengthwise, and then insert the filter's uptake tube into the centre of the sponge. You can also buy special sponges designed to fit onto the end of the uptake tube, but the AC sponge trick works very well and it's much less expensive :)
