I have about 6-8 juvenile ghost/glass shrimp that are tank bred for sale $0.50 each. These are good scavengers for the aquarium and are healthy - not like the ones you see in the shops. Shipping will be USPS Priority in a breather bag from 79968.

I'd like them, but you don't happen to have any others do you? I ask only because w/ the shipping it'll end up being expensive and I'd like to sorta 'spread' the cost by getting as many as possible.

Thanks!

I only have one breeding female, and they are in a community tank with fish so only a few young survive. I've only seen three from her last batch, only about 1/4 inch long, so the population grows fairly slowly.

These really are nice and healthy if anyone is thinking about getting some that will live a long time a be very active in the tank! Mine are doing great!

Thanks, Autumn. Good to hear that the others are doing well.

Here is a picture of one of the ghosts and momma (on the rock)

They are also great at controlling snail populations. I had pond snails in one of my tanks and have not seen a single one after a few weeks of having these guys in that tank! They also ate all of my Ramshorn snails...

Hi,

I may be interested but wanted to ask if you think they would be safe in a heavily planted tank that has a Betta ?
Thanks

Don't mind if I chime in????
I raise ghost shrimp as well and mine are in a heavily planted tank with guppies. I have had my shrimp in with a betta and both are safe and do not have much interaction (unless you are talking about juvenile shrimp or when they are in the larval stages-then they are free game for all fish).

Like Bubbles said baby shrimp will be eaten by just about any fish. However I do have mine in a community tank with a male Betta, and, while I have watched him try to catch a very small baby (unsuccessfully), he doesn't bother the larger ones.
