I purchased the Finnex PX-360 Canister Filter for up to 25 gallons last week for a 2.5 gallon tank, and it is simply too powerful for such a small tank. The Finnex PX-360 is one of the smallest canister filters on the market, and it filters up to 93 gallons per hour!
All pieces are included (spray bar, intake, clips, filter, etc.), as well as 100% brand new original filter media (I used my own to try out the filter).
The filter was in use only a few days before I came to terms with the fact that it wasn't going to work.
This item is sold for $45 plus shipping on Amazon, but you can get the same thing in mint condition from me for only $40 shipped. Or, swing by the inner Richmond district in San Francisco and it's yours for only $30! An excellent price for a filter used only a few days (and containing brand new OEM media).
