Ok, so my little tank has a small school of neons. Usually the room gets some light from the window but I had drawn the blinds last night. I walk in this am and put on the lights and all the neons look like death warmed over. Almost pink they were so pale. I thought they had some sort of disease. I finally started to think about what fluoresce actually means and gave them some time. 5 mins later they all look bright and sunny again. :)

I couldn't believe how MUCH they fade! Wow!

Glad all is well for you! Many fish will pale overnight.

My 5 year daughter always complains that her mickey moons loose the "mickey" overnight! When we turn on the light in the morning they sort of look all orange and an hour later they have their typical black mickey sign on their tail.

you should see my rummynoses... they look like freakin tuffies in the morning time.. only takes em about 20 minutes to color up tho.

Whats a "tuffie"?

I just realised yesterday how massive my neons have gotten. So glad they are still alive after 6 months.

well ive noticed my rams have nicer color at night/first light...... But my danios do go really pale at night so i guess all fish are different :)
