He's adorable, I didn't realize they had such big ears! I know nothing about chinchillas, except they're supposed to be really soft. How big do they grow?

They don't really get any bigger than a dwarf rabbit. And LOOOOOOVE thier dust baths. it make thier fur nice and fluffy. They don't smell as bad, or shed as much as rabbits either.

That's a nice silver. Make sure you watch it carefully if you let him out of his cages to play. My friends chinchilla ate his Xbox,PS2, and Gamecube controller cables. other than that they are awsome pets.

Chinchilla... it scares me not for the animal but for what it means in some parts of Mexico. If someone pulls a chinchilla at you, it means pinching and twisting your nipples. Ouch....

So cute! We were at one of the LPS yesterday and they had 2 chinchillas for sale! I wanted to bring one home, but they have some rule about no pets in the dorms here....how silly is that!!! :duh: They also had baby ducks for sale which I thought was unusual but I guess you have to get them somewhere, right?

I want a BABY DUCK!!! Not sure if the Landlord would approve of me putting a pond in the yard though.

No, you don't want a baby duck. I bought 4 ducklings from a local farmers auction for $1.00. They don't stay small for very long, within a month they went from ducklings to almost full grown. You also are not supposed to handle them. They also poop more than any pleco I've ever had. I ended up given them to a local farmer, because I just couldn't care for them.
