just get the temp close as possible to your tank.
i never acclimate zoos, just rinse in Fw and toss in. ive been told that its a good idea to get the FW's pH as close to your tanks as possible, but im a slacker and dont really worry about it.
zoos are tough. keep in mind that in the wild at low tide they can be exposed to open air for hours at a time.
as a tactic against the zoa fungus and other unidentified crap on my zoa colonies, ive just taken them out the tank and set them on a window sill in the sun for 5mins to an hour. dries the fungus up so you can just flake it off.
grins brings up a good point. zoas and paly are very toxic, ie they can kill you and your pets. However, the amount of the toxin youd have to injest (ie, "eat") would be huge, like munching 20 heads or drinking a gallon of saturated tank water. or if a smaller amount was introduced DIRECTLY to your bloodstream. (ie you let a zoa squirt directly into an open wound)
but gloves are a good idea all around.
oh yea, dont panic if your GSP dont open (you will want to drip acclimate those for 1-2hrs) for a few days. some open like bam! but the norm is a few days. it took mine a week
